Barbara Thomas has challenged those who want to cut public service jobs - she helped save firefighters’ jobs in East Cleveland, hundreds of jobs at MetroHealth medical Center, and is joining the fight to save the only post office in East Cleveland.

Barbara Thomas stopped two attempts to privatize MetroHealth and will continue to fight politicians who try to privatize MetroHealth and other public service jobs.

Barbara Thomas has helped her constituents save their homes from foreclosure and will continue to help struggling homeowners throughout th District.

Barbara Thomas will fight to bring good-paying jobs to the county - without giving away our resources and our children’s future. She negotiated the first skilled trades apprenticeship program at MetroHealth for employees, and helped bring in a training program for single mother heads of households in East Cleveland.

Barbara Thomas has a wide knowledge of budgeting, managing large funds, investments and contracts as an elected Board member of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System and the Ohio Deferred Compensation Trust Fund.
